Pricing announced for long-awaited Honda Civic diesel
Honda’s 10th-generation Civic is now available to order in diesel format following a lengthy wait for fleets.
Honda Civic diesel pricing released
Set to hit retail forecourts next month in manual guise – with the automatic available in early summer – the 1.6-litre diesel will be available in the same trims as the existing 1.0 VTEC Turbo petrol model, covering S, SE, SR and EX designations. Prices start from £20,120 OTR for the S trim, rising to £24,925 OTR for the EX.
The comprehensively revised 1.6 i-DTEC engine offers 118bhp at 4,000 rpm and 222lb.ft of torque at 2,000rpm.
“The arrival of the diesel variant completes the line-up for the Civic hatchback in the UK,” commented Phil Webb, head of car at Honda UK. “This 1.6 i-DTEC is the most technologically advanced diesel unit we have launched to market and will deliver a very competitive offering for both the retail customer and the fleet market.”
Pricing for the automatic Civic diesel will follow in the summer when the car becomes available.
