The new Citroën C3 officially goes ‘on sale’ in the UK on Tuesday 3 January 2017 but order books are already open for customer orders.

Priced from £10,995 OTR, the new five-door supermini brings revamped styling and new technologies including an onboard HD dash cam.

Built on the PSA Group A platform, the new model is slightly longer and wider but lower than the current model, with a length of 3.99m, width of 1.75m and height of 1.47m, bringing increased shoulder room for rear passengers, while rear legroom is said to be top-level too. Boot volume remains the same at 300 litres.

Three trim levels are offered – Touch, Feel and Flair. Standard kit includes cruise control and speed limiter, height adjustable driver’s seat, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth handsfree and media streaming, Lane Departure Warning System, Speed Limit Recognition and Speeding Warning, Coffee Break Alert.

There’s also a choice of three roof colours and nine body colours, giving a total of 36 colour combinations.

New features include the optional ConnectedCAM technology, which brings a wide-angle HD camera, GPS technology and a 128GB memory, providing dashcam functionality as well as the option to safely take photos or videos that can be instantly shared via social media using a free app. Thanks to the GPS functionality, the driver can also locate their vehicle when it has been parked in an unfamiliar location.

The new Citroën C3 also features a seven-inch colour touchscreen providing access to main vehicle controls, including the CitroënConnect Nav touch and voice activated technology.

Also on offer are MirrorLink and Apple CarPlay, a reversing camera and hill-start assist. Driver assistance technologies include a lane departure warning system, blind-spot monitoring and a driver attention alert.

Engine line-up covers three PureTech three-cylinder petrol engines: PureTech 68, 82 and 110 (Stop & Start), and two Diesel powertrains: BlueHDi 75 (Stop & Start) and 100 (Stop & Start). Emissions start at 92g/km for the BlueHDi 75 S&S manual. The line-up will also see the PureTech 110 S&S Flair gain Citroën’s EAT6 automatic gearbox from February 2017.

Prices range from £10,995 for the PureTech 68 manual in Touch trim, rising to £17,095 for the BlueHDi 100 S&S manual in top-spec Flair.
