Prestige Fleet Servicing to sponsor top speedway team

The Revolution race team of two professional riders and a 13-year-old academy rider, based at the world-famous Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, will see their riders competing in the Sky Sports Elite League, the British Championship at senior and junior level and the Premier League in the UK, plus a number of events across Europe.

In addition, both Revolution Speedway’s professional riders will be competing for selection in Team Great Britain's squad for this year’s Monster Energy Speedway World Cup.

The Revolution race team operates with two pro-riders, Lewis Kerr and Lewis Bridger, who are both in contention for this year’s British Championship, and will run eight bikes, which have only one gear, no brakes and can reach 0-60mph in only three seconds.

The Revolution race team will be on hand at a variety of external events, including Prestige’s customer roadshows and the Fleet World Fleet Show at Silverstone in May, with a race bike linked to a reaction tester to allow visitors to pit their starting reactions against those of a professional speedway rider.

Joe Bhamra, commercial director at Prestige, commented: “We are delighted to be sponsoring Revolution Speedway this season, one of the up-and-coming teams in British speedway with a great future ahead of it.

“Revolution is keen to promote young British riders and that is a cause we are keen to support. They are also very focused on the team ethic – as are we here at Prestige. We also see this as an ideal opportunity to promote our message to a wider audience.

“We look forward to their presence at many of our external corporate events this year,” he added.
