Pre-booking parking rather than driving around looking for a parking spot could help with the drive to reduce air pollution, as well as saving time and costs.

YourParkingSpace.couk says its customers saved a total of 132 tonnes of CO2 in 2018 by driving straight to their reserved parking space

That’s according to parking firm YourParkingSpace.co.uk, which says its customers saved 132 tonnes of CO2 last year by driving directly to a reserved space, along with more than 46,000 grams of nitrogen oxides.

The research comes just a few months after YourParkingSpace.co.uk announced a new partnership with charging point locator Zap-Map.com which means that customers can now make bookings for YourParkingSpace.co.uk spaces where electric vehicle charging is available directly through Zap-Map.com.

YourParkingSpace.co.uk also said its services can benefit drivers through cheaper parking while bringing benefits for both homeowners and businesses; in 2018 alone, businesses and households with empty parking spaces made more than £15m with YourParkingSpace.co.uk by renting them out.
