The Liverpool-based housing group awarded the contract after winning a tender for a new housing maintenance contract in Cheshire and Liverpool that is anticipated to last for three years.

The vehicles comprise 26 VW Caddy Maxis and 20 Transit SWB vans, and were recently delivered to Aintree Race Course for handover to Plus Dane Housing Group.

The company selected Northgate Vehicle Hire as one of the partners from the Procurement for Housing framework, to provide the vehicles required to carry out the contract. 

Northgate was chosen as a partner after a price benchmarking session and was also praised for its excellent operational support.

Mitchell Allen, neighbourhood operations manager at Plus Dane Housing Group, said: 'We decided to move our fleet towards a more flexible structure by utilising Northgate's flexible model for our new and, when they expire, our existing leases.
