PHS moves to three-year deal with Pendragon

Previously the contract was awarded by PHS on an annual basis, with Pendragon saying the longer-term contract marks a move by both parties a progressive and collaborative approach.

PHS serves over 200,000 organisations from 2,100 company vehicles and requires a specialist and proficient fleet to support its customers with a wide range of workplace services. The Vauxhall range of cars and LCVs presented PHS with the best whole-life costs, with the LCVs having additional specification and bespoke conversions to meet the requirements of the different operating divisions.

Pendragon Vehicle Management is supplying all vehicles on a full maintenance contract hire facility, whilst also implementing other value-added services such as vehicle downtime management for the LCVs. The two firms will also look to reduce the operating fleet costs on a progressive basis moving forward.

Anthony Ritchings, group director of procurement for PHS, said: “As one of the leading suppliers of workplace services in the UK, transportation is integral to our business so finding the right fleet provider to cater to our unique requirements was a key priority. Our vans need to signify our ethos so reliability was paramount. Working with Pendragon Vehicle Management helped to evaluate our requirements and ensure we fully optimise our fleet.”

Neal Francis, divisional managing director at Pendragon Vehicle Management, added: “Pendragon really enjoys working with unique clients such as PHS, to listen and assist in supplying a varied range of bespoke vehicles for a number of different tasks. We were able to draw on 30 years’ experience supplying fleet customers to recommend vehicles that would suit its individual needs. In addition we worked with PHS on customisation of the vehicles to provide a unique fleet that would cater to its specific requirements. We’re delighted to have another satisfied customer.”
