The cabin is intended to showcase innovative, efficient materials such as basalt, which is formed when magma is quickly cooled once it comes in contact with the elements and is easy to source globally. The Quartz also uses a textile woven with polyester fibre from recycled plastic water bottles and cut digitally to minimise waste.

To enhance the sporty feel, black leather detailing is used and the i-Cockpit design, seen in production cars, keeps everything at the driver's fingertips.

Each of the four passengers has a bucket seat to optimise interior space. The seat structure is left exposed and features a four-point retractable harness, with floating cushions and backrests trimmed in tawny leather.

The plug-in hybrid drive train comprises a 1.6-litre THP 270 petrol engine developed by Peugeot Sport and supplemented by two electric motors, one on the front and one on the rear, with a total output of 483bhp and married up to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Bespoke MacPherson struts are used on the front with a multi-arm suspension arrangement at the rear.

There are three driving modes: ZEV can cover up to 31 miles on a single battery charge using the plug-in battery, Road mode uses the combustion engine and front electric motor while Race mode uses the engine and both electric motors with a limited-slip differential.
