Peugeot powers new online car comparator with KeeResources data

Dubbed Peugeot Compare, the tool covers all current car and light van models and provides an independent comparison of running costs and specifications.

Cathryn Hancock, head of fleet marketing at Peugeot Motor Company PLC, explained: ‘To help website visitors make an educated decision when considering buying a new car Peugeot has teamed up with KeeResources to use its KWIKcarcost to provide an independent comparison of running costs and specifications. Peugeot Compare allows website visitors to choose the option that best suits them in terms of profile – private customer, company car driver, commercial vehicle driver or fleet manager – and then compare a new Peugeot with up to three other competing vehicles.

‘Potential buyers can then assess the specification levels and key features of different models to see which really offer the best value for them. For example, the comparator will clearly show that touchscreen technology is included as standard equipment on many of the latest new Peugeot models, highlighting the high standard equipment levels offered.

‘An interesting feature is the ability for visitors to input their own vehicle registration number under “I want to compare my car to a new Peugeot” to see the benefits of changing in terms of vehicle emissions, road tax, fuel economy and overall fuel costs over a three-year period.’

The design matches that of the Peugeot main website and enables the comparator to be used by smartphone and tablet users as well as accessed from a desktop or laptop computer.

The comprehensive comparator quickly displays new vehicle prices; standard equipment; technical data; Euro NCAP; body; comfort and convenience; communications; exterior equipment; in-car entertainment; interior equipment; paint or trim and upholstery; safety; security and wheels or tyres and chassis information.

Major information is highlighted in graphical format and visitors wanting to take things further can request a brochure, e-newsletter or a test drive.
