Peugeot appoints new head of business sales
Peugeot has named Matthew Weston as its new head of business sales, replacing Louise Nielson who has moved to PSA’s Free2Move Lease business.
Weston brings 25 years of experience within the automotive sales sector, including almost 15 years at Groupe PSA, most recently as LCV product manager for Peugeot and Citroën where he helped establish the position of the brands’ LCV ranges.
His new role will see him work closely with Peugeot’s dealers in line with plans to establish the carmaker as the best high-end generalist brand and to provide an electrified version of every model by 2023. This has already started with the launch of the Peugeot e-208, the brand’s first mainstream all-electric car, which is now available to orders and will be followed by the e-2008 SUV in early 2020.
David Peel, managing director of Peugeot UK, said: “Matt has a great track record with Groupe PSA. He has built up a wealth of experience in the automotive sales sector, and we know that he will bring the drive and tenacity we have seen from him over the past 15 years to his new role. Our plan for an electrified range is just one of the many undertakings we have committed to, and Matt’s experience with the company will be a great asset to help drive our objectives forward.”
