Peugeot 508 SW pricing and specs announced

Peugeot has revealed pricing and specs for the latest 508 SW, which introduces new design and technology features and is available to order now.

Priced from £26,845 OTR and, the new 508 SW (see road test here) is offered in Active, Allure, GT Line, GT trims as well as a limited number of First Edition models.

Starting deliveries from 1 July, the 508 SW comes with two new petrol options and four diesel options, based on the 1.6-litre PureTech, 1.5-litre BlueHDi and 2.0-litre BlueHDi engines, with emissions starting from 101g/km for the 1.5L BlueHDi 130 EAT8 S&S 8-speed automatic. In October 2019, a 225hp PHEV version joins the range, teaming up a 1.6-litre PureTech 180 engine and a 110hp electric motor on the front axle.

All 508 SW models feature the latest generation of Peugeot’s i-Cockpit with a configurable 12.3-inch head-up digital instrument panel, either a 10-inch or eight-inch capacitive touchscreen and a compact multi-function steering wheel as standard.

Standard safety features include Emergency Brake Assist and speed limit recognition and recommendation. MirrorLink with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto is also included as standard in every model.

Active trim features 17-inch alloy wheels as standard, alongside Connected 3D Navigation with live updates, electric driver’s seat-base and lumbar adjustment, automatic headlights and DAB radio as standard.

The Allure trim gets Active Suspension, plus Active Blind Spot Detection and PEUGEOT Smartbeam Assistance, as well as keyless entry and push button start. Inside, there is a 10-inch High Definition capacitive touch screen, electric driver and passenger seats and a 180-degree colour reversing camera. Prices start from £28,145.

The GT Line starts from £29,895 and adds self-levelling full LED headlights, with the rear light cluster featuring Peugeot’s 3D signature ‘Claw Effect’. It also features the i-Cockpit Amplify, which allows customers to change the interior lighting balance, as well as the engine note through active speaker technology.

The GT model is available from £38,020 and features the Drive Assist Pack Plus, with Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Positioning Assist as well as a Focal premium HiFi speaker system, Nappa Mistral full grain leather seat trim and 19-inch diamond-cut two-tone alloy wheels.

First Edition models – of which just 75 will be offered in the UK – will be priced from £40,819 and throw in Night Vision technology, which alerts drivers to pedestrians and even dogs up to 200m ahead of the vehicle’s headlights. They also offer the Visio Park 3 system, featuring 360-degree colour reversing camera and fully automated parking assistance.
