Highlights for the 2018 range include a new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a new engine for the Mini One, which gets the BMW Group’s 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and an increase in torque to 140lb.ft.

All Minis are equipped with a six-speed manual, or a seven-speed double-clutch available as an option. This offers a coasting function to save fuel, and an advanced start-stop system which uses the forward-facing camera to detect when it’s not worth deactivating the engine.

The refreshed range includes Union flag inspired LED lights at the rear as standard equipment in the UK, front LED headlamps with anti-dazzle technology and Matrix high-beam, MINI Connected Services with Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI), and a plethora of customisation options including 3D printed parts, three new colour options and extended range of leather trim.

The features in the new 2018 Mini 3-Door Hatch, 5-Door Hatch and Convertible will launch at Mini retailers across the UK on 17 March 2018.
