Steenvoorden has worked for LeasePlan for over nine years, most recently as the senior corporate vice president of risk management for LeasePlan Corporation and he has also held the roles of director of mergers & acquisitions and senior manager of corporate strategy and development.

Before joining LeasePlan he worked for a number of consultancies in the corporate finance arena, as well as holding part time lecturing roles at the Universities of Amsterdam and Groningen.
