Few details have been released about the "Townpod" concept, with only a press shot of a headlight supplied as a teaser, but Nissan says it is 'more than just a car and it's more than just a van – it heralds a new-era of flexible, stylish vehicles that will bring electric-vehicle mobility to the masses.'

Nissan will also be bringing along its LEAF EV, in advance of the first European customer deliveries early next year, as well as the new Micra, which will feature a new three-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine, combining emissions of just 115g/km and consumption on the combined cycle of 5l/100km. This will be followed next spring by the introduction of a direct-injection, supercharged version of the same engine, with emissions of just 95g/km.

Also at the show will be the new Nissan Juke small-sports Crossover and the updated X-Trail, which features interior and exterior changes as well as updates to the diesel engine, gearbox ratios and aerodynamics, with a resultant decrease in emissions and consumption.
