Paragon appoints new CEO

Carlisle brings a wealth of experience from the retail, insurance and automotive sectors. He has held a number of main board positions within UK Plcs, beginning his career with Marks & Spencer before senior roles with Autoglass and Homeserve.

He replaces Stephen Hucklesby, who will move to the role of chief operations officer for the Group, to focus on quality and efficiency within the operations side of the business.

Carlisle’s appointment comes as the company looks to expand the range and reach of its services through innovation and strategic partnerships.

Ian Carlisle said: “Paragon has taken some big steps forward and delivered real innovation across the sector. It is exciting to join a growing, recognised industry leader, at a time when it is seeking to take the next stage in its development. The automotive supply chain is facing a period of rapid change and Paragon is ideally placed to help customers drive efficiency through new thinking.”

Stephen Hucklesby added: “The automotive sector is undergoing an unprecedented period of innovation and change. Paragon must continue to grow and work with its customers to lead that change. Ian brings a wealth of experience and he will play a key role in taking the company forward as we seek to accelerate growth.”

Paragon has also announced a raft of internal management changes to position the business for growth. Simon Caine is appointed as operations director and will drive operational performance and closer customer interaction. He assumes overall responsibility for Thurleigh, Corby – Geddington Road – and Grimsby locations.

Tony Banks replaces Simon Caine as general manager. Banks joined the group in 2013 and will also oversee the Vauxhall contract. Neil Kelly takes the general manager’s role at the Vauxhall dedicated Geddington Road facility.
