The agreement will see Pentagon Motor Group recommend Ohme chargers for all of its new and used electrified vehicle sales with an Ohme Home Pro charger in showrooms for customers to view.

Founded in 1991, Pentagon Motor Group is made up of 48 retailers across 23 locations and 13 manufacturer franchises – Citroen, CUPRA, Dacia, Fiat Professional, Ford, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, SEAT and Vauxhall. The group employs just under 1000 staff. Pentagon Motor Group’s position as a leader in the EV market is underlined by its hybrid and EV sales in FY22/23 accounting for an incredible eight times more than compared to FY21/22.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Ohme as our preferred EV home charging supplier,” said David Peel, managing director at Pentagon Motor Group. “We considered many potential charging partners and it was clear to us that Ohme’s dynamic smart charging capability, award-winning products and excellent customer service made it the obvious choice for Pentagon’s customers. With EVs accounting for a fifth of all our new car sales across the whole group, it’s a key element of our business that’s growing fast.”

Ohme’s smart chargers can connect with the National Grid in real time and automatically adjust their charging for drivers to take advantage of all the times of low price charging with off-peak tariffs. Ohme also offers drivers the option to charge their car when renewable energy generation on the national grid is at its highest.

A full charge on a 58kWh Cupra Born with an Ohme charger on a smart off-peak tariff, such as Octopus Intelligent, could cost just £4.35 for a driving range of 264 miles (WLTP).
