Ogilvie Fleet recognised in national ‘Best Companies to Work For’ survey

Best Companies has been producing and publishing the ‘Best Companies to Work For’ lists since 2001. The lists are published by The Sunday Times and highlight the top 100 companies with other businesses accredited with one, two or three stars.

The company has built on its one-star rating recorded in 2015, the first time Ogilvie Fleet had taken part in the survey, with a two-star rating for this year.

Ogilvie Fleet employees particularly praised the company for its leadership with senior management adopting an ‘open door’ policy and treating them as equals and with respect; their well-being with a flexible approach to working hours to meet individual lifestyle requirements; and with a fair deal notably through a profit-related bonus scheme.

Ogilvie Fleet is already accredited with Investors in People Silver Standard and managing director Gordon Stephen said: “We are aiming to achieve the Gold Standard and next year we have ambitions to receive three stars in the ‘Best Companies to Work For’ programme.

“At Ogilvie Fleet we understand the importance of treating our employees well and respectfully whether in relation to their career opportunities, their pay and benefits or their general well-being.

“All of that helps to further improve productivity and encourages employees when dealing with a specific issue to go the extra mile in ensuring an outcome that satisfies the individual client. The survey is an excellent barometer of how our employees feel about Ogilvie Fleet as a business to work for.”
