Nissan teams with Telogis for new fleet telematics solution

Nissan has partnered with Telogis to develop new connected vehicle services for European car and van fleet customers.

The NissanConnect Fleet launches in Europe this autumn on vehicles including the Pulsar

Aimed at both small and large fleets, the new NissanConnect Fleet service is intended to help operators by making drivers safer, providing higher levels of service, while improving sustainability and operational efficiency.

Philippe Guerin-Boutaud, corporate vice president, Global LCV Business Unit, Nissan Motor Co Ltd, said: “From empowering workers on the road and in the field to help them be safer and more efficient, to optimising daily delivery routes, NissanConnect Fleet will have a transformational effect on the way Nissan customers do business.”

The solution can be deployed using hardware factory-fitted or installed by a certified Nissan dealer and connects the vehicle to Telogis’ Mobile Resource Management (MRM) software platform.

“Customers will experience near-immediate return on investment by utilising the built-in connection in their Nissan vehicles,” said Kevin Moore, vice president, Global OEM Automotive Sales at Telogis. “Telogis delivers mission-critical applications that enable Nissan commercial customers in Europe to connect, optimise and automate their operations, improve the lives of their drivers and provide a higher level of service to their own customers.”

The announcement follows the news last week that the PSA Group and Masternaut are offering the Masternaut Connect telematics platform for European fleets running Peugeot, Citroën and DS connected cars and light commercial vehicles.

The Nissan service will launch in Europe from this autumn, initially covering car models comprising the Qashqai, X-Trail and Juke, Pulsar and LEAF and vans covering the Navara One Ton Pick-up, NV200, e-NV200 and NT400 Cabstar, with other vehicles to join the scheme later.
