Nissan adds new N-TEC trim to Micra

Priced from £12,400 and available to order now, the new trim level is positioned between the existing Acenta and Tekna models and is available with the 1.2-litre petrol and supercharged 1.2-litre DIG-S engine options, the latter with a CVT transmission as an option.

Styling features include 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps and rear privacy glass as well as silver satin door mirrors and door handles. The interior brings a centre console finished in gloss black and distinctive blue stitching on the trim and leather-covered steering wheel.

Equipment includes the latest-generation NissanConnect system, which brings a 5.8-inch colour touchscreen display and includes satellite navigation and smartphone integration as well as features such as Google Send-To-Car technology, which allows an owner to plan a journey on their PC or tablet at home or in the office and then send the instructions to the car ahead of the journey.

The equipment list also includes Rear Parking Sensors and Parking Slot Measurement – which lets drivers know if the Micra can be safely parked in an available space and can be adjusted to account for the driver's skill: amateur, normal or expert.

Other technologies fitted as standard to the new Micra N-TEC include automatic climate control, rain sensing windscreen wipers and automatic headlights.

The Nissan Micra N-TEC will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 15 September 2015.
