NHS workers offered free-of-charge use of Nissan dealer vehicles
Nissan’s UK dealer network has united to provide more than 100 cars for free-of-charge use by NHS workers.
The loans are aimed at frontline health workers whose vehicles are currently out of action or are looking to switch from public transport.
The vehicles – normally used as dealer demonstrators or courtesy cars outside of lockdown – include the Micra, Juke, Qashqai and Leaf electric vehicle.
The vehicles are provided at no cost – drivers only needed to pay for fuel or charging costs -and include roadside assistance and complimentary insurance – with workers needing to be over 25 with no more than six points on their license.
NHS workers can register their interest in receiving a free Nissan loan vehicle via an online registration form hosted on the Nissan UK website and will be contacted by a local dealer if a car is available. However, supplies are limited so drivers are being urged to get in touch as soon as possible.
Nissan has previously announced that all NHS and key workers currently driving a Nissan can now benefit from free roadside assistance. Its work to support the pandemic response has also seen a team of volunteers at the company’s Sunderland plant work to supply PPE to frontline health workers.
