NHS staff offered free roadside assistance across all PSA brands

Groupe PSA is extending the free roadside assistance programme for its vehicles to provide continued support to essential services and key workers during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The extended roadside assistance programme will be offered to NHS workers driving Groupe PSA vehicles regardless of vehicle age or mileage

It means all NHS workers who currently drive a Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles or Vauxhall vehicle and do not already have any mechanical breakdown cover can now benefit from cover throughout the duration of the outbreak.

The programme has previously been available only to customers who have purchased a new Peugeot, Citroën or Vauxhall for 12 months – or three years in the case of DS –  from the date of first registration.

This new extension will be offered regardless of vehicle age, mileage or if the vehicle has previously been maintained outside the Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles or Vauxhall authorised repairer network.

If the vehicle is immobilised on the road or at home, Roadside Assistance will be sent out to get it back on the road. If the vehicle is unable to be mobilised at the roadside, a suitable recovery will be arranged for the vehicle to be taken to the nearest Peugeot/Citroën/DS Automobiles/Vauxhall Authorised Repairer or Independent Motor Trader of the driver’s choice, up to a distance of 10 miles, and a taxi will be offered for the driver and passenger(s) to continue their journey to a single destination up to 20 miles.

In addition, goodwill payments have been increased to support and mobilise NHS workers whose Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles and Vauxhall vehicles are no longer within the manufacturer’s warranty.

To make use of Groupe PSA’s Roadside Assistance, all NHS staff need do is call the following numbers and quote ‘NHS Key Worker’:

Peugeot Roadside Assistance contact number – 0800 197 2045
Citroën Roadside Assistance contact number – 0800 197 2046
