As the country’s largest public sector organisation and employer, NHS Scotland currently employs approximately 140,000 staff who work across 14 regional NHS Boards, seven Special NHS Boards and one public health body.

Under the new framework agreement, all Scottish NHS staff looking to hire vehicles will first be directed to their local Enterprise branch.

Adrian Bewley, director of business rental UK & Ireland at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, commented: ‘Rental is a highly efficient way to manage business travel. Public sector bodies can use car hire to reduce costs and lower fleet CO2 emissions.’
