NHS and care workers offered low-cost MOTs through Rivus

Rivus Fleet Solutions is providing low-cost MOTs to support NHS and care workers through the coronavirus pandemic.

Rivus’ low-cost MOT offer is available from now until the end of June

Available from now until the end of June, the MOTs are priced at £20, about half the price that drivers would normally pay, and are being offered as part of Rivus’ work to thank key workers for their efforts.

Michael Scheidler, chief development officer at Rivus, said: “NHS workers and other people in the caring professions are real heroes in this crisis. We at Rivus want to show them how much they are appreciated by offering something that will help to keep their vehicles safe as they go about their work, together with helping them to save their money at the same time.”

Although MOTs rules have been relaxed through the coronavirus crisis in the form of a six-month extension, Rivus is one of number of fleet firms urging drivers of cars that are still getting plenty of use to stick to their pre-existing schedules wherever possible; both to maintain safety and avoid MOT backlogs as more drivers return to the roads.

Rivus, formerly known as BT Fleet, has a network of 55 garages across the UK and the bulk of its work is maintaining commercial vehicles for some the county’s most well-known companies, in essential sectors such as telecoms, utilities, highways, the environment and post. Many Rivus customers also have cars and light vehicles in their fleets – meaning that their garages are equally well equipped to service, maintain the everyday cars that most of us drive.

The firm’s garages are also able to accommodate any other work that a car needs when having an MOT. This includes servicing, maintenance and repair for all popular brands and more complex jobs, supported by a wide range of diagnostic equipment.

Scheidler added: “We have a vast network of garages and all of our technicians are a minimum Level 3 qualified for light or heavy vehicle maintenance and repair – so anyone interested in the offer can have total faith in our ability to keep their cars safe.”

Eligible workers who want to take up the offer are being asked to search ‘Rivus Fleet Solutions’ online, and contact their nearest garage using the Garage Network option on the homepage.
