The Three Peaks walking team comprised 11 Nexus employees, ten of whom completed the challenge after scaling Pen-Y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m). A further two Nexus team members formed a support crew on the day.

Split into two groups of moderate and fast walking speeds under the guidance of the Kuta Outdoors team, three walkers completed the course in an impressive 8 hours 53 minutes. Three more finished the challenge in less than 12 hours, with the remainder of the group crossing the finish line at around the 12-hour mark.

Nexus head of marketing, Sam Butterworth said: “This has been a great opportunity for some of our team to realise a significant personal goal at the same time as raising awareness and valuable funds for a fantastic and important local charity.

“Nexus’ ethos of teamwork and camaraderie shone through and we were rewarded with some glorious Yorkshire weather!”
