Newly acquired online car buying service to target small fleets

Vehicle Trading Group (VTG) has recently acquired Trusted Car Buyers, with Andrew Hubbard, CEO of VTG, saying: ‘We are delighted to have Trusted Car Buyers on board and believe that it can take a sizeable share of the online car buying market.

‘With the acquisition of Trusted Car Buyers, we now have the opportunity to supply our dealers across the UK with another channel to purchase quality used stock.  Already, 34 of our dealers have become Trusted Car Buyers, as it saves them time and money.

‘We will be investing heavily in this area of our business, starting in the first quarter of 2015, with a multi-million pound marketing campaign, to build Trusted Car Buyers as a national consumer brand.’

Lance Fisher, director of Trusted Car Buyers, added: ‘Trusted Car Buyers welcomes vehicles from companies of all sizes, which are in the de-fleet cycle. If the business has more than five vehicles, we will send a specialist to inspect the fleet to prepare solid valuations and a fleet breakdown.

‘Alternatively if the vehicles are based in different locations due to a nationwide staff base, we can arrange for each member of staff to visit one of our 90 plus locations.  We will then prepare a report detailing the value of each vehicle for the company. We believe that giving a guaranteed valuation for a fleet allows the business to make an informed sale, rather that leaving things to chance at auction.’
