Working in partnership with LeaseCarsDirect.co.uk, What Car? has launched a dedicated section of its website (www.whatcar.com/car-leasing), which will marry local private and SME business customers to regional franchised dealers.

The site is aimed at the estimated 1.4m businesses with fleets of up to five vehicles, plus the 25,000 running less than 25 cars and will also target the personal leasing market.

By offering dedicated regional services, dealers will be able to post contract hire and leasing offers that will then be targeted to in-the-market individuals and businesses within their region without having to go through broker deals.

All participating dealers will also have to sign up to an Advertiser’s Charter to help ensure that customers have an efficient, hassle-free and secure experience.

Russell Whitehouse, client sales director at Whatcar.com, said: ‘The model allows businesses to engage directly with supplying dealers in a localised way that provides an increased level of connectivity often lost in the traditional leasing model.;
