New Skoda Kodiaq Sportline revealed

Skoda has unveiled another new addition to its Kodiaq line-up in the form of the Sportline model.

Skoda Kodiaq Sportline will debut at Geneva Motor Show.

Revealed a day after the Skoda Kodiaq Scout broke cover, the latest derivative will also premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March and provides a more sporty makeover of the seven-seater SUV complete with bespoke styling, additional equipment and all-wheel drive as standard.

Styling tweaks to the standard Kodiaq see the Sportline gain bespoke badging as well as black design features for the radiator grille, roof rails, wing mirror housings and side window trims and a tinted rear window and rear side windows.

The Sportline also gains body-coloured protective side trims and a silver-coloured trim below the rear bumper, as well as bespoke 19-inch alloys, with 20-inch wheels available as an option.

The interior brings Alcantara sports seats with silver-coloured stitching and leather detailing for the gearstick and multifunction steering wheel, plus aluminium pedals. The drivers display is also updated to include G-force information.

Equipment is based on the SE trim level and includes a touchscreen infotainment system, Emergency Call, electronically adjustable and foldable wing mirrors with dip and memory function, rear-view mirror with rain sensor and dip function, a Maxi DOT display and LED ambient lighting for the interior. Driver assistance functions include Trailer Assist, Blind Spot Detect, Rear Traffic Alert, the Crew Protect Assist function, Front Assist function with City Emergency Brake and predictive Pedestrian Protection functions, and Park Assist.

Engine line-up is the same as for the Kodiaq Scout and features two petrol engines, including the 148bhp 1.4 TSI petrol from the standard Kodiaq along with a 177bhp 2.0 TSI.

The two diesels are taken from the Kodiaq line-up and cover the 148bhp and 187bhp 2.0-litre TDIs. Emissions start from 139g/km for the lower-powered diesel with official combined consumption of 53.3mpg.

All engines come with all-wheel drive and drivers can also opt for Adaptive Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), which a choice of three modes: Comfort, Normal and Sport.
