Renault UK has introduced a new Online Stock Reservation feature that enables customers to buy cars and vans through the website and have them delivered – within a couple of weeks – without having to visit a dealership.

The tool, which is live now, joins the carmaker’s recently-launched Virtual Showroom and follows last week’s government confirmation that carmakers can carry out sales and deliveries provided they stick to strict social distancing measures.

The new Online Stock Reservation tool on Renault.co.uk allows customers to reserve a vehicle from stock in a few steps, including choosing from a list of best-selling specifications and colour options.

Buyers then fill out a form and, once complete, will be contacted by their chosen dealer to see the process through to delivery, as with a normal car purchase.

If buyers have more specific colour and specification requirements, an alternative form can be completed to start further discussions with their chosen dealer.

Adam Wood, marketing director at Groupe Renault UK, said: “In combination with our other services, being able to reserve exactly what you want and complete the purchase with your local dealer from home maintains the relationship between retailers and customers in these challenging times, while providing the reassurance that you can still get the new car you want without a long wait.”
