New Octavia grade offers increased value to fleets

Skoda has launched two new trims for its Octavia range including a replacement for the SE Business grade that brings more kit and improved value for company car drivers.

New Skoda Octavia trims

New SE Sport and SE Technology models added to the Octavia line-up

Available for both the hatch and estate models, the new SE Technology model is priced from £19,925 OTR – £275 more than the outgoing model – and is available with four TDI diesel options with power outputs ranging from 108bhp to 147bhp.

Equipment additions over the standard SE trim are an Amundsen satellite navigation system with Wi-Fi, a four-spoke Multifunction steering wheel, adaptive cruise control (standard cruise control on GreenLine III models) and front and rear parking sensors. The equipment list also features a Chrome pack and double-sided boot floor covering along with light and rain sensors. In total, the extra equipment over the standard SE model would normally cost £1,830.

Research from Skoda also shows the benefits in terms of BiK payments of the new trim compared to the previous SE Business specified with the same additional equipment. For the 1.6 TDI 108bhp model, drivers in the 20% tax bracket can save up to £177 a year, while drivers in the 40% tax bracket can save up to £355.

The new trims also feature an SE Sport option that sits above the SE specification, bringing an extra £3,150 of kit for a £950 premium.

Priced from £19,990 OTR, the Octavia SE Sport is offered with both hatch and estate bodystyles and two engine options: 1.4 TSI 147bhp and 1.6 TDI 108bhp, with the option of a DSG gearbox on both.

Equipment includes 17-inch alloys, bi-xenon headlights plus LED rear lights. Inside, SE Sport models feature sport seats, a Super Sport Multi-Function Steering Wheel and an automatic dimming rear view mirror, while standard technology includes Amundsen satellite navigation system with WiFi and cruise control.

Both models are available to order now.
