New Navman App

By / 12 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The move means that Android smartphones and tablets can now run the fleet tracking system as well as the existing iPhone and iPad service.

Free to OnlineAVL2 users, the mobile app delivers key mapping, auditing, routing and messaging capabilities on the move. Mobile users can tap the app to view fleet, vehicle group or individual asset location in real time on Google Maps, spot out-of-bounds vehicles or construction equipment by tapping a button to add previously created geofences or job sites to the map view, review any vehicle’s activity by date, route drivers to a specific address with turn-by-turn directions as well as job details, and send messages to one or multiple Navman Wireless in-vehicle terminals.

A company spokesman said: ‘Fleet operators don’t sit at their desks all day, so they need to be able to check the location of a specific vehicle or route the closest service van to a new assignment whether they’re in the office, at a job site or sitting at the local coffee shop.

‘Now OnlineAVL2 customers can access the real-time data and tools they need whether they’re using their desktop, laptop, smartphone or tablet. It’s a major step toward better fleet management.’

Earlier this year, Navman Wireless launched its second generation vehicle tracking app for iPhone and iPad to complement its Essential, Fleet+ and Complete product ranges.

The OnlineAVL2 mobile app can be downloaded at the Apple App Store or via Google Play.
