New mobile fuelling service could cut time and costs for fleets

A new fuel delivery service said to be the first in the UK has launched to help fleets save time and money.

Fuelmii has been set up to save fleets time and hassle by delivering fuel directly to their vehicles

Aimed at car and commercial vehicle operators, the Fuelmii service currently operates in London and the South East and is already used by operators including DHL and Mick George.

Fuelmii runs a fleet of vans, specially developed as mobile fuel stations equipped with bunded steel tanks, spill containment kits, fire extinguishers and Weights and Measures-certified pumps.

Businesses simply order fuel by contacting Fuelmii directly, stating the amount of fuel required and the delivery address. The fuel is then delivered in one of the vans and dispensed directly by the driver.

Customers are sent one invoice itemising the fuel delivered to each vehicle. Users can also track and download refuelling reports, so fleet managers know how much is being spent, when and where.

The firm claims to offer better prices than most fuel stations and cards, as well as bringing major savings in employee time and wages. As such, it says it can save the average 20-strong 3.5-tonne van fleet £22,500 in fuel costs, and 1,500 employee working hours, each month.

Fuelmii also says it can cut emissions compared to individual driver trips to the fuel station.

Tuguy Dervish, CEO at Fuelmii, said: “Refuelling a fleet is an unnecessary waste of a business’s time and money – with drivers often diverting and wasting time filling up their tanks.

“This makes no sense in the 21st century, when so many services now deliver more conveniently straight to our doors. Fuelmii is here to eliminate this hassle, helping businesses focus on the things that really matter.”

Dervish added: “While lots of businesses are making crucial commitments to cut down emissions in the coming years, fuel delivery is a simple but incredibly effective change that firms and local authorities can make right now to drastically improve their carbon emissions.”
