New Match trim level boosts value for Volkswagen Polo

Volkswagen has introduced a new grade for its Mk6 Polo, boosting value with extra equipment.

The new trim level enhances value for the Polo; VW’s second best-selling model after the Golf

The replacement to the previous SE trim – which sets above the entry-level S in the line-up – the Match spec is priced from £16,465 OTR, an increase of £200 but bringing an extra £785 worth of equipment. This includes new 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, tinted rear windows and front and rear parking sensors.

As with the outgoing SE, the Polo Match is offered with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol in 80 or 95hp variants, the former with a five-speed manual solely while the 95hp TSI turbocharged unit can be combined with a five-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG transmission.

WLTP-certified CO2 emissions range from 125-139g/km, with combined WLTP fuel economy from 42.8 to 51.4mpg.
