New management team at Drive Software Solutions

Drive Software Solutions has appointed a new chairman, CEO and CCO, bringing a wealth of technology experience as the firm looks to position itself as the de facto platform of choice in cloud-enabled fleet management.

Richard Parris joins Drive as chairman

Richard Parris, chairman of Sabien Technology Group plc and CEO at Salt Cybersecurity Ltd, will become chairman upon completion of a current assignment.

He’s joined by David King as CEO and chief commercial officer Robert Gorby.

King brings more than 20 years’ experience in building and exiting successful technology firms while Gorby has 20 years of sales and marketing experience.

David King assumes the role of CEO

The team will join existing senior executives Simon West-Oliver, strategic partnerships director, Dave Pegg, technical director and Stuart Newmarch, development director, and will add in best practice and global networks in cloud services, telecoms and SaaS businesses.

Robert Gorby commented: “The industry is going through rapid transformation and disruption. drive is a key enabler in this transformation and I’m excited to be part of a world class team who will shape the future of this industry.”

Newly appointed CCO Robert Gorby

The implementation of the new team follows the evolution of the Odo fleet management solution – launched in January 2018 – into a leading SaaS platform in a new digital mobility ecosystem. Particularly aimed at small- and medium-sized businesses, Odo helps fleets manage costs, stamp out fuel fraud and eliminate end-of-contract excess mileage penalties and unexpected damage recharges.

Simon West-Oliver said: “We now have the team in place to realise our core mantra of e-business, automation and advancing customer service. Odo allows us to bring the real underlying benefits of the wealth of Drive functionality in an agile market-relevant solution to a wider marketplace.”
