Unveiled at Geneva and in dealerships starting from the summer, the new range introduces updated technologies and powertrains as well as the debut of an upscale Vignale model and the Active crossover.

A total of nine trims will be available for the core range, covering Style, Zetec, Titanium, Titanium X, B&O PLAY in Zetec and Titanium Series, ST-Line, ST-Line X and the top-spec Vignale versions.

The most popular trim is the Zetec, which takes 58% of orders and is priced from £14,215 with 15-inch alloy wheels, Quickclear heated windscreen and Ford’s SYNC 3 DAB radio with a 6.5-in touchscreen with Emergency Assistance, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.

The range also debuts a new B&O PLAY series range on Zetec and Titanium models, which feature a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system as well as an upgraded 8in floating tablet-inspired touchscreen and Navigation, priced from £15,165.

The newly introduced Vignale trim – already seen on the Mondeo, S-Max, Kuga and Edge Vignale models – is priced from £19,345 for the Fiesta and brings 17-inch alloy wheels, exterior body styling and front grille plus Black Ruby upholstery, heated seats and steering wheel, panoramic roof and rear view camera as standard.

New technologies in the Fiesta include an enhanced version of Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection as well as Ford’s Active Park Assist with Perpendicular Parking, which can now brake the car if a collision is imminent in parking manoeuvres.

Prices for the Fiesta Active crossover and the recently announced Fiesta ST will be announced closer to their launch.
