New Fiat 500 1.3 MultiJet II diesel goes on sale
Marked out with the Fiat Panda as being the only city cars available in the UK powered by turbo diesel engine, the new FIAT 500’s 1.3-litre, turbo diesel engine produces 94bhp at 3,750rpm and 148lb.ft of torque from 1,500rpm. This gives a 0 to 62 mph time of 10.7 seconds with a top speed of 112mph.
The model also features efficiency technologies including a smart alternator, rapid engine warm-up, variable oil pump displacement and Start & Stop – giving an official combined cycle fuel economy figure of 83.1mpg and CO2 emissions of 89g/km.
Available in Pop Star and Lounge trim levels, prices for the FIAT 500 1.3 MultiJet II 95hp start at £14,166 OTR for the hardtop 500 Pop Star and £16,815 for the convertible 500C Pop Star.
