New City Auction Group online bidding platform to go live this week

The firm has completed a major six-figure investment in the technology to upgrade its online biding platform, which will allow customers to bid online to have the same opportunity to purchase vehicles, as those in the hall.

To mark the launch of its new bidding system, there will be no online sale fees for this event, saving buyers an estimated four-figure sum at the event on the day. Michael Tomalin, managing director of City Auction Group, commented: “We are really excited about our auction on Thursday, when we will be launching our new online bidding platform. We will have 400 corporate vehicles on offer, featuring a specialist section of 150 Lex Autolease end of contract vehicles. We expect the bidding to be very active throughout the auction and the new platform has been thoroughly tested, so will be able to cope with a huge volume of bids.

“We have also introduced competitive buying fees for dealers purchasing five or more cars, as well a major incentive scheme, which offers buyers the chance to win tickets for the British Touring Car Championship 2015, every time they purchase a vehicle.”
