The fleet management firm, part of BT Group, says its engine remapping service has a proven track record after already delivering the above savings on 24,000 Openreach vehicles; the equivalent of removing 1,900 London taxis from the roads.

The firm adds that that it is confident that the cost of remapping an engine can be recovered by the projected fuel savings within six months of driving. Prices for remapping start at £250, plus VAT.

Fleets looking to use the service just call 0843 176 0940 and BT Fleet will check if the vehicle can be remapped and agree a price. BT Fleet will then book an appointment at the driver’s convenience at one of 64 BT Fleet garages in the UK to make the necessary changes to the engine. Remapping can also be undertaken at the driver’s place of work or home. Finally, to ensure complete peace-of-mind, BT Fleet contact the driver after one week to ensure they are fully satisfied with the purchase.
