New BCA appointment forms part of supply chain solutions strategy
Booth, who joins BCA on 1 June, has over 25 years of experience in the motor industry in a variety of roles. He was previously at Pendragon, where he held a senior remarketing position and also held the role of managing director for the UK Automotive Division of Stobart from 2011 to 2015. Prior to this, he spent 21 years with BMW where he held several positions including national bodyshop manager, national aftersales manager, aftersales marketing manager and latterly general manager UK Distribution.
His new role encompasses the recently acquired Ambrosetti business and five additional technical services sites resulting from the SMA and Stobart acquisitions in 2015. These include facilities in Henstridge, Carrington, Doncaster, Stockton and Livingston.
The role will see him take responsibility for the profitability and operation of these sites, as well as the development of BCA's technical services strategy and managing business relations at a senior level with new and existing customers.
Avril Palmer-Baunack, executive chairman, BCA Marketplace plc, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Tony Booth to the BCA team. He brings a great deal of experience and market knowledge of the automotive services sector gained at the highest level with Pendragon, Stobart and BMW.
“Tony’s appointment is further investment in BCA’s strategy to develop a range of automotive service solutions that means we can add value right along the vehicle supply chain. This appointment strengthens the team significantly and we will be drawing on Tony’s exceptional and diverse experience in the field as we continue to develop a broad range of solutions to meet the needs of our customers.”
