Most popular new cars and main buying considerations revealed
Close Brothers Motor Finance has shared the most popular cars and car-buying trends from 2019, with the Ford Fiesta coming out on top.
According to the firm, smaller models are becoming increasingly popular as buyers look toward more affordable and greener options, while more drivers than ever are paying attention to the fuel type of their car. In contrast, features such as boot size, number of doors and colour have slopped down the list of priorities.
Looking ahead to 2020, the firm says we can expect to see electric vehicles in higher demand, particularly as two in five (39%) are considering an EV as their next car. Research by Close Brother Motor Finance has also found a quarter (26%) of hybrid and electric drivers were buying their cars for the status, reflecting the shift toward greener alternatives.
