Manheim Online charity ball helps raise £11,588 for children’s hospice Rainbows

The annual Rainbows fundraising ball at Hothorpe Hall in Leicestershire was attended by 120 guests from the UK motor trade who all wore brightly red ties and dresses in a colour from the rainbow.

The event included live entertainment and a charity auction, during which Manheim smashed its original fundraising target for the event, which had been £8,000.

The cheque was presented after the event to Kate Golding, Rainbows’ corporate partnership manager, by Dave Parry and Hannah Vine from Manheim Online.

“We are incredibly proud to have hosted the Red Tie and Rainbow Dresses Charity Ball – it was a fantastic evening,” said Dave Parry, Manheim Remarketing’s Online Director, “We’re also incredibly grateful to Hothorpe Hall for providing its magnificent venue and food free of charge.

“The team at Rainbows does such an incredible job of helping children with life-limiting conditions and supporting their families. It’s a privilege to support their efforts in this way and we really appreciate the generosity of our 120 guests and wonderful sponsors, including Hothorpe Hall and Leicester car retailer, V12 Sports and Classics.”

Manheim Online, part of the Manheim Group, has been supporting Rainbows children’s hospice for several years. Last year, Manheim Online embarked on the ‘92+92 Challenge’, visiting all 92 Football League team grounds in 92 hours and raising over £6,000. In April, the company hosted Rainbows’ attempt to set a Guinness World Record by creating the largest postcard mosaic, placing 41,000 postcards across Manheim’s Bruntingthorpe auction hall.
