Manheim holds first events under new Manheim Scotland banner

By / 10 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Following the acquisition of a second site in Lanarkshire to complement its existing Glasgow premises, Manheim Scotland saw more than 600 vehicles go under the hammer at the first events at its re-launched premises earlier this month.

Manheim’s Glasgow site offered a wide range of franchised dealer and ex-retail stock, while the Shotts centre focused on fleet, finance and manufacturer vehicles under three years old. A free shuttle bus transported buyers between the morning event in Glasgow and afternoon sale in Shotts; a service which is set to continue over the coming months.

Manheim said it saw strong attendance figures, with a 60% uplift in physical buyers and a 70% increase in registered online bidders, along with high conversion rates and strong values achieved across both centres.

Two vendors achieved 100% conversion, while highlights on the day included a 4×4 Mercedes ML320 CDI with 36,974 miles on the clock which made 100% CAP; a Honda Civic Type R with 66,969 miles which achieved 111% CAP; and a Citroën C3 Selection with just 2,222 miles which delivered 107% CAP.

Ian Irvine, regional director at Manheim Scotland, commented: ‘We’re focused on delivering exceptional buying and selling opportunities for our partners around the world and that is why Manheim has made a long-term commitment to the Scottish market.

‘With a dedicated buyer services team that knows all about the Scottish market, tailored and competitive indemnity rates and emphasis on delivering a comprehensive sales programme across our two sites, we are providing even greater exposure for in-demand, quality Scottish stock.’
