Orchards of London, which has offices in Ealing and Chiswick, West London, has taken delivery this week of 15 new Fiat 500s, each equipped with the 0.9-litre TwinAir engine.

A major reason for the purchase was the model’s low CO2 emissions, which fit in with the company’s recent gold award for corporate social responsibility at the National Estate Agency of the Year Awards.

To further reinforce this, the firm’s sales and lettings consultants were given training in their new cars on the use of Fiat’s eco:Drive software, which can save fuel and reduce emissions.

‘The environment is extremely important to us and we have a responsibility to make sure that we look after what we have,’ said Paul Connolly, managing director, Orchards of London. ‘One of the first things we checked when looking for a new car was the carbon emissions. We also felt the Fiat 500 would represent our brand very well as it is modern, elegant and full of personality – just like us.’

The 15-car agreement was arranged through Fiat’s Motor Village dealer group and sealed at the Hayes, Middlesex branch by Tony Dittli, managing director, Motor Village, and Orchards of London directors Paul Connolly and Joseph Murphy.

‘This is an exciting deal and we are delighted to be working with Orchards of London,’ said Tony Dittli, managing director, Motor Village. ‘It demonstrates our ability and commitment to handle any size of contract, from one car, to 15 or much more, with total dedication to providing exceptional customer service and support through the lifecycle of the vehicles. We are very much looking forward to working on similar arrangements in the future, including more with Orchards of London.’
