Licence Check reports record results

Licence Check has reported a record number of licence checks carried out in July on company drivers.

Terry Hiles, general manager, Licence Check

The total number of checks carried out by the Derby-based company, now part of the Ebbon-Dacs group, were up 58% year-on-year compared to July 2018, and even up 9% on May 2019 – the company’s previous record-breaking month.

The record results come as the company’s cloud-based Driver and Vehicle Information Solution brand, DAVIS, continues to receive outstanding reviews from system users for its efficiency, clarity and ease of use. Of 149 reviews carried out via the Trustpilot website, 97% of users rated the system either ‘excellent’ or ‘great’, resulting in a five-star ranking and scoring 9.5 out of 10.

Licence Check has also seen growth in the number of companies using DAVIS, which automates and streamlines driver and vehicle compliance management and addresses duty of care.

This includes new deals with major corporates, such as public transport operator Abellio London and parcel delivery network DPDgroup, which are now using DAVIS to automate their driver compliance.

Growth has also come through an active network of channel partners that the company now works with; they resell Licence Check services either as a complete solution or by deploying specific modules from DAVIS in order to enhance their offering to customers.

Licence Check also introduced a series of new releases earlier this year, timed to coincide with the Commercial Vehicle Show in April and bringing important new functionality to DAVIS, including accident recording, enhanced licence checking and improved security.

Ebbon-Dacs director Craig Gibbin said: “These outstanding and record results are a major achievement and a real reflection of the hard work and effort put in by the team at Derby. It’s also clear that the important new releases for DAVIS earlier in the year are having a positive impact on improving efficiency and transparency when managing driver and vehicle compliance.”
