Latest DVLA figures published by the firm show that for the 2016/7 financial year, the industry was up 20% while the Licence Bureau checked over 534,000, a 33% year-on-year increase.

Malcolm Maycock, managing director of Licence Bureau, said: “It’s great to see online licence checking continuing to grow year-on-year – not just for Licence Bureau – but for the market as a whole as more companies are opting to carry out regular checks as part of their overall fleet compliance programmes.”

The firm says it’s also continuing to prepare for GDPR compliance and has published details of the actions it’s taking to comply with the legislation, which takes effect next year.
