Licence Bureau completes four millionth Driver Licence check

Licence Bureau has reached the four millionth driver licence check milestone as it continues to raise awareness of the need for compliant fleet operations – including among grey fleets.

Steve Pinchen, sales director at Licence Bureau

The landmark achievement came just 20 months after the firm hit the three million mark in February 2018.

Steve Pinchen, sales director at Licence Bureau, said: “Our aim is to make companies both safe and compliant. We treat quality seriously, being ISO 9001 compliant, and are proud to have reached this four millionth Driver Licence check milestone.”

The firm’s licence checking service is part of its wider proposition designed to support businesses across all areas of road safety and compliance – a major challenge of which is currently grey fleet; an issue that Licence Bureau continues to warn has reached ‘epidemic’ proportions.

Pinchen said: “We know grey fleet management is a huge challenge right now for businesses of all sizes. From experience, we know most businesses don’t really know for sure who drives on behalf of the company.

“If a business allows any employee to drive a business vehicle or use their own vehicle for work related journeys, the business has an obligation to ensure that the driver and vehicle is legal and safe to drive – and the starting point for that is a Driver Licence check. This is one of the many day-to-day challenges we are designed to help businesses overcome.”
