LeasePlan awards fleet supplier service at annual conference

The event was held on 5th February and included the supplier awards where 100 of the company’s top suppliers gathered to hear about the successes and developments of 2012. Members of the LeasePlan leadership team then presented their vision for 2013, focusing on growth and the opportunities this would create for all supply partners.

A “Question Time” session was then held with a number of questions from suppliers put to a LeasePlan panel consisting of managing director David Brennan, commercial director Matt Dyer and operations & service director Matt Cranny. Areas covered included LeasePlan Group global expansion to telematics and environmentally friendly vehicles.

The awards dinner, held in the evening, consisted of 14 awards including the “Overall Supplier of the Year’” award. The following six awards were presented to the best suppliers in recognition of their exceptional service in the past year:


Auction Provider of the year Cars – BCA Nottingham

Auction Provider of the year LCV – Manheim Gloucester

Non–Auction Sales Channel of the year – The Car Shop

Overall Remarketing Supplier of the Year – SGS

SMR Supplier of the Year – Prestige Fleet Servicing

Rental Supplier of the Year – Thrifty

 

There were also awards presented to the individuals or companies who particularly demonstrated the LeasePlan values of expertise, respect, passion and commitment:

 

Best Demonstration of LeasePlan Values – Expertise – Michelle Spencer, BCA

Best Demonstration of LeasePlan Values – Respect – Matt Loveday, Avis

Best Demonstration of LeasePlan Values – Passion – Matthew Coulbeck, SGS

Best Demonstration of LeasePlan Values – Commitment – John Ellis, Nexus

Supplier Employee of the year – Mark Callaghan, Blue Apple

Indirect Supplier of the Year – Abil Office Solutions

Driver TRI*M Supplier of the Year – FMG

Finally, LeasePlan awarded ‘Overall Supplier of the Year’ to Prestige Fleet Servicing for an outstanding level of service delivery and cost control through 2012, demonstrated by strong survey feedback from drivers. 

Neil Dixon, head of procurement & supplier management at LeasePlan, said of the day: ‘We were delighted to recognise and celebrate the fantastic services provided by our suppliers over the past year.

‘The event is unique in the industry and we hope all of our suppliers are rightly proud of their achievements in 2012. The awards help our partners understand our goals and recognise the crucial part they play in helping LeasePlan deliver industry–leading service.’
