Kia Soul EV gets new Maxx trim

Kia has updated its Soul EV with a new Maxx trim.

Priced from £32,445 (including the Plug-in Car Grant), the Kia Soul EV Maxx replaces the First Edition model available

Priced from £32,445 (including the Plug-in Car Grant), the Maxx replaces the First Edition model available since the third-generation Soul’s launch and is the sole trim available.

As with the First Edition model, it features the long-range 64kWh lithium-ion battery pack – the 39kWh battery model available in other markets isn’t offered in the UK. Official WLTP range stands at 280 miles.

The Soul EV Maxx carries over the design of the First Edition but deploys the new Kia logo, inside and out. It also offers two new metallic paint colour options: single-tone Snow White Pearl (as standard) and a new two-tone Inferno Red body with Black roof (optional, priced at £575).

Two existing two-tone premium paint options are also available: Quartz Black with Red and Neptune Blue with Black.

Standard equipment includes 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels, black leather upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Soul EV also Kia’s standard seven-year/100,000-mile warranty.

The Soul EV is one of two fully electric models offered by Kia UK, alongside the e-Niro electric crossover. These will be joined later in 2021 by the EV6.

First customer deliveries of the Soul EV Maxx are expected in autumn 2021.
