Kia shows official sketches of new Sportage ahead of Frankfurt debut

The fourth-generation model will up the ante against rivals such as the Nissan Qashqai, helped by a “bold, progressive design”, as well as an updated version of Kia’s trademark ‘Tiger Nose’ front-end. The rear-end also sees a major update including redesigned tail-lights and bumper.

Design has been led by the brand’s European design centre – located in Frankfurt – with the brand saying the all-new Sportage represents the future face of Kia.

The carmaker also said the interior “marries simple, modern style with rich material quality for Kia’s most refined, highest-quality cabin to date”.

No engine details have been revealed.

The new Kia Sportage debuts at Frankfurt on 15 September.
