Kabbee minicap app to introduce Apple Pay

The integration of Apple Pay will enable users to book a cab in just a few taps and will also bring security and privacy benefits as card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on users’ devices. Each transaction is authorised with a one-time unique dynamic security code, instead of using the security code from the back of the card. Apple Pay is compatible with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.

For Kabbee users, transactions will be authenticated using their fingerprint thanks to the power of TouchID.

Alex Kershaw, product director of Kabbee said: “We’re excited to launch Apple Pay via the app in September and to be one the first travel apps to support the payment system in the UK. We are always looking for new ways to speed up the booking and payment process on the app, to continue to meet the demands of busy Londoners.”
