JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions (VLS) has said it’s working on several new technological developments as the company celebrates 30 years in the UK fleet industry.

Part of the JCT600 motor group, the leasing specialist was first established under the name JCT600 Contracts and took its first order in 1989. The company were based at JCT600’s then head office on Sticker Lane, Bradford, with a team of just five people. Today, it operates a fleet of 6,500 vehicles supplying all brands of cars and vans throughout the UK from its head office at Tordoff House, Apperley Bridge.

As part of the 30th anniversary celebrations, colleagues were treated to a black tie dinner at The Grand Hotel in York while VLS customers received a handwritten, personalised thank you letter from their Account Management team and a special 30th Anniversary magazine, also available through the firm’s website and covering many of the fleet industry’s major talking points.

Looking forward, the company is preparing for further growth under the leadership of newly appointed managing director, Ben Creswick who is working with the VLS team on several new technological developments, whilst the company says it also remains focused on delivering the highest quality customer service.

Creswick said: “It is our people who have ensured this business is still successful 30 years on and it is those great people who will continue to ensure we are successful in the future. You cannot train people to work in the way our team does, you either have it or you don’t. That is why we have and will continue to invest in them – if we look after our great people, they will look after our customers. This company was built on strong values which I believe are unique to VLS – that is the difference that makes all the difference to our customers.”

He added: “We will continue to drive the business forward over the next 12 months, focusing, as always, on delivering the very best service and products that meet the needs of our customers whilst also exploring innovative opportunities to enhance our offering.

“We recognise that the industry is changing and we are committed to remaining at the forefront of these developments. However we also want to concentrate on the immediate future with a particular focus on providing market-leading vehicle solutions which add value to our customers, here and now, whilst also helping future proof their fleets.”
