The independently owned Bradford-based motor group has announced the move a year after it grouped together its volume fleet functions offering a range of brands for national fleet and local businesses from a single resource.

The firm said the latest appointment forms part of JCT600’s fleet sales growth strategy, completing the creation of its first line fleet team and enabling the company to focus on supplying vehicles on a national basis, working with brokers and fleet companies across the UK.

In his new role, Turner will be responsible for managing, growing and maximising broker and fleet sales for JCT600 by developing long-term relationships with brokers and fleet companies including developing spot volume opportunities.

With over 26 years’ experience in the motor trade, Turner has previously worked for Lex Vehicle Leasing, Custom Fleet and Ogilvie Fleet.  More recently, he worked as a director in trade operations for SG Fleet and as group fleet sales manager for Parks Motor Group/Thistle Vehicle Leasing.  He joins from the broker division of Lease Options NI where he was sales director.

Neill Richards, fleet sales director of JCT600, commented: ‘Over the last 18 months, we have put in place a team of six top quality fleet managers with a vast amount of valuable fleet experience who are responsible for their own departments and bottom line profit as well as being passionate brand ambassadors.

‘We have seen significant demand for our fleet services with customers responding well to our transparent approach – as part of a major group incorporating a wide range of brands, we are able to provide balanced car cost comparisons, demo both cars and give customers expert advice about what is best for them in terms of cost per mile, taxation and so on.

‘Frank is a welcome and extremely experienced new member of the team whose recruitment has completed our transition into a single, national fleet division, putting us in a strong position for future growth.’

As well at as Frank Turner as national brokers/key accounts, the team comprises Steve Wilman for Volkswagen and Audi; Jayne McFadzen for volume brands; Tony Dent for Mercedes Benz; Paul Smith for BMW; Lyndsey Egginton, senior key account manager for Volkswagen/Audi fleet hub; and Neill Richards, group fleet sales director with fleet responsibility for Porsche, Bentley and Maserati.
